Natural Oak

Mid-tone golden oak, the safest floor in the warehouse, and we mean that as a recommendation rather than a criticism. If you are flooring a rental, or a house you intend to sell, or you simply do not want the floor to be the thing people notice, this is the one to buy.

The plank is 7.56 inches wide by just over four feet long. That is a slightly more conventional proportion than our nine-inch lots, and it suits smaller rooms and hallways better, a very wide plank in a narrow hall ends up cut down its length on both sides, which wastes material and looks it.

The 20 mil wear layer is what makes this a landlord’s product. Twenty mil is the commercial specification, and against tenants it is the difference between recarpeting between every lease and doing nothing at all for a decade. At $1.79 a square foot the arithmetic on a rental turn is not close.

Construction is a 5 mm SPC rigid core with 1 mm XPS attached pad. Floats over slab, plywood or existing tile with no separate underlayment in most installations.

Lot DE-0489. A large lot, which is why we can quote it for multi-unit work. Note the natural color variation between planks in the second photo, that is the print doing its job rather than a defect. Pull from several cases at once as you lay it and the variation distributes the way real wood does.
